There
are some text types to be taught in Junior High School. They are
Descriptive, Procedure, Recount, Narrative   , and Report. In KTSP, the newest curriculum, the mastery of text types is absolutely required.Based on the syllabus, each text type is taught twice upon the three academic years of Junior High School. Descriptive is taught in grade 7 semester 2 and grade 8 semester 1, Procedure in grade 7 semester 2 and grade 9 semester 1, Recount in grade 8 of both semesters, Narrative in grade 8 semester 2 and grade 9 semester 2, and Report in grade 9 of both semesters.
